Sam and the Harborrats will be testing out their new 4-piece line-up with two sets in the Crocodile Back Bar on Friday, August 9, also joined by their friends in Proud Wonderful Me for an opening set. Since the departure of Michael Spaly for Boston, Sam and band Allison Tulloss, Aimee Zoe, & Ken Nottingham) have been working as a stripped & leaner line-up on new songs with a self-described "electric soul" charge, trading in the Americana string/mandolin sound for trippy sci-fi keyboards. This show will be a chance to test out new songs written in this manner as well as playing some of the old ones in the newer style. Best of all, the show is FREE and all-ages, so no charge for being guinea pigs for the eve. Step right up...
